About Us

Hi, my name is Dave and I am the owner of Undiscovered Escapes.

Travel has always been a passion of mine, so being lucky enough to work in the travel industry is a dream come true for me.

As a family, we have always travelled, as a young boy on European holidays to Spain, Greece, France and Italy. Experiencing different cultures, history, cuisines and languages is something that excites me – the world is a big place with so much to see!

My passion for travel really exploded when at fifteen I went on a school trip to Ecuador. How different the country seemed to everywhere else I had visited. The culture was interesting, there was so much to see. We spent our time in the capital Quito followed by time in the low lying jungle & cloud forests. The experience of trekking through the jungle and spotting wildlife I had never seen before was truly breathtaking.

At eighteen when I had finished my college course in Travel and Tourism I decided to hop on a plane and take some time out from my studies. I travelled to Ecuador again and travelled the country on my own for three months, just me and my backpack.

In my early twenties after my time at university, I hopped on a plane again, this time to a country that I knew very little about, Belize. I spent 3 months travelling from Belize through other central American countries, Guatemala & Honduras and finished my trip in Costa Rica. This trip was challenging on my own, but it really opened my eyes to the world. I met some amazing people and experienced amazing places.
