The lake is shared by Peru and Bolivia and is the largest lake in South America by volume. Just off the coast of Puno, visitors can find the Uros Islands, which are unique floating islands made entirely of reeds. The Uros people have constructed these islands as their homes and have maintained their traditional way of life for centuries.
